Welcome to The Food Charity Association of Canada, also simply known as The Food Charity. We are a non-profit based in Burnaby, BC. We are excited to share the launch of our new initiative for poverty reduction and food security infrastructure; by building community greenhouses here in BC’s lower mainland. We will be providing meaningful employment to people with disabilities, and growing fresh organic food for the Food Banks.
Our mission is to ensure everyone has access to healthy, nutritious food. We build greenhouses on underused farmland to grow fresh, organic fruits and vegetables. We provide these to food banks to help those in need. We also create meaningful jobs and careers for people with disabilities. As a social-enterprise we support other food organizations. Together we work better, increasing our overall capacity to reach more people. By using smart farming methods, we aim to build a strong and sustainable food system across Canada.
We envision a world where every person has access to safe, nutritious, wholesome food and the resources they need to live a healthy, happy, and fulfilling life. We believe in showing compassion for others, ensuring that even the most vulnerable members of our society receive the proper sustenance they require to end hunger. We strive to provide support to Canadian food assistance programs, and create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Please support the 'Drive to Give' initiative. Your donation helps supply greatly needed delivery vehicles to support various food assistance programs, ensuring that meals reach seniors and individuals who can't travel. Your generosity, contibution and support makes a real impact, thank you. 🌟
Your donation will fund the construction of state-of-the-art community food pantries, ensuring fresh, healthy food reaches those who need it most. Together, we can fight hunger and promote nutrition. Your support and contibution are invaluable— Let's keep making a positive impact together! 🌱😊
Imagine a thriving community with year-round access to fresh, organic foods. Our greenhouses help support food assistance programs and enhance food security. Your donation helps us build and sustain these greenhouses. Please join us in this exciting initiative and help grow a better future! 🌿
We love those we serve, please feel free to contact us via our contact form. If you are looking to donate and help us then please use any of the donation buttons on this page. Thank you!
