Welcome to The Food Charity Association of Canada
Also simply known as The Food Charity, we are a non-profit based in Burnaby, BC. Canada.
We are excited to share the our initiative for real sustainable food security, poverty reduction, capacity building, disability and youth empowerment through building localized food security infrastructure. By providing community greenhouses to serve as educational hubs, and by growing fresh organic food provided to local Food Banks and Food Distribution Organizations.

Our mission is to ensure everyone has access to healthy, nutritious food. As a social-enterprise we support other food organizations. Together we work better, increasing overall capacity to reach more people. By using smart farming methods, we aim to build stronger and more sustainable food security systems across Canada.

Supporting Local Food Deliveries to those in need: Drive to give is a vital initiative by The Food Charity to provide delivery vehicles for community food assistance programs. By enhancing the capacity of these programs to reach more people, we ensure that seniors and individuals unable to travel receive important meals.

Net-Zero Food Pantries— Longer shelf life for fresh food: 13,000 tonnes of food is wasted in Greater Vancouver each year - which highlights the opportunity to reduce food spoilage while feeding the hungry. Our large-scale refrigerated pantries will ensure food assistance programs can receive and store large donations of fresh produce to distribute to those in need, before it goes bad.
